Ragnhild Marit Sara is a lawyer and strategist with a long-standing commitment to Indigenous rights, justice, and international legal work. She has over 15 years of experience in structural advocacy, land rights, negotiation, and human rights law.
For more than a decade, she has worked with concrete land encroachment cases affecting Indigenous communities, combining legal precision with strategic advocacy. Her background includes serving as a deputy judge and acting chief judge in a Norwegian district court, leading the Sami Reindeer Husbandry Law Commission, and contributing to Indigenous rights work at the United Nations and OSCE expert level – including participation and panel contributions in the Human Rights Council, EMRIP, CERD, and CEDAW.
She has lectured at institutions such as Humboldt University and the University of Tromsø, and is frequently invited to speak on Indigenous land rights and legal protection mechanisms, both nationally and internationally.
She is currently developing the Indigenous Rights Fund – a platform for building strategic indigenous justice across borders.
